24 July 2023
Summer season plants are blooming, bugs are buzzing, and songbirds are wrapping up the breeding season.
Sign up for me for a chicken & nature stroll in Frick Park on Sunday, July 30, 2023, 8:30a – 10:30a.
Meet on the 9 Mile Run Path Car parking zone to stroll Frick Park’s boardwalk and 9 Mile Run loop.
The assembly position is at the Swissvale facet of the Expressway bridge so in case you park on Industrial Side road on the Boardwalk or Firelane Path, move Industrial Side road and take the trail beneath the Expressway bridge to succeed in us. You’ll see the 9 Mile Run Path parking zone once you’re beneath the bridge.
Close to the assembly position we’re certain to peer Queen Anne’s lace, fleabane, and goldfinches. If we’re fortunate we’ll see orchard orioles, a part of the circle of relatives that nested close to the creek.
Get dressed for the elements and put on relaxed strolling footwear. Convey binoculars and box guides when you have them.
Ahead of you return, consult with my Occasions web page in case of adjustments or cancellations. The day trip can be canceled if there’s lightning or heavy rain.
Hope to peer you there!
