A hectic Bideford crusing left little room for birding past census. The morning rounds in large part consisted of the native breeders, with the one migrants within the type of 9 Willow Warbler. The Millcombe Swallow pair are going for a 2nd brood within the Gasoline Retailer, busying themselves with sourcing recent nesting subject matter. A color-marked Wheatear flitting across the Touchdown Bay showed that one of the native breeders are nonetheless knocking about, albeit hugely outnumbered by way of the collection of juveniles at the wing. In other places, a juvenile Gray Heron skulked round Pondsbury and any other Hurricane Petrel ringing consultation gently ticked over in the course of the night with any other 19 new birds, 2 between-year Lundy re-traps and a brand new regulate – despite the fact that the transparent evening sky and vibrant moon noticed an important drop within the collection of ‘stormies’ coming in to the colony.
