Netherlands experiences new avian influenza outbreaks on layer farm

A brand new case of avian influenza has been reported within the Dutch municipality of Putten, which is positioned within the province of Gelderland, in step with a document from the ministry of agriculture.

The outbreak came about on a laying rooster farm. To stop the unfold of the virus, roughly 110,000 chickens have been culled through the NVWA.

Two different poultry farms are positioned inside the one-kilometre zone. Those corporations are screened through the NVWA and sampled for avian influenza. 

There are 10 poultry farms inside the three-kilometre zone. All corporations within the three-kilometre zone, together with the 2 corporations within the one-kilometre zone, were sampled for avian influenza through the NVWA.

Within the 10-kilometer zone are 82 different farms, together with 3 poultry slaughterhouses. A hall has been established for the provision of slaughter animals to the poultry slaughterhouses.
