Hong Kong’s Centre for Meals Protection (CFS) introduced that it’ll transition from a “systems-based” strategy to recognising international meat and poultry institutions to an “status quo or plant-based” registration device, in line with a up to date US Division of Agriculture (USDA) International Agricultural Knowledge Community (GAIN) file.

Below the brand new import protocol, US slaughtering, reducing, processing and chilly garage amenities in quest of to export uncooked meat and poultry merchandise to Hong Kong should be registered with CFS previous to export.

US slaughtering, reducing, processing, and chilly garage amenities are inspired to check the CFS checklist of US institutions to ensure all corporate knowledge is present and correct.

Registration is simplest required for uncooked meat and poultry merchandise. Cooked and extra processed merchandise, similar to ham, bacon, sausages and canned meat, don’t seem to be topic to the brand new import protocol necessities.
