Ministry searching for feed wheat and barley

Japan will import 8,370 tonnes of feed-quality wheat for cattle use by way of a simultaneous purchase and promote (SBS) public sale that closed past due on Wednesday, Reuters reported, bringing up the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) on Wednesday.
The ministry had sought 65,000 metric heaps of feed wheat and 25,000 heaps of feed barley to be loaded by way of Dec. 31 and arrive in Japan by way of Feb. 27, 2025.
Japan buys and sells its feed wheat and barley by way of so-called SBS auctions, by which end-users and importers specify the starting place, value and amount of grain, permitting millers to fulfill their numerous wishes for the feed grain.
