On our WINGS Spain in Autumn birding excursion we visited Parque Herbal de Los Alcornocales on 13 September to look the birds and habitats of the cork tree wooded area. Spain’s Herbal Parks permit grazing so we continuously noticed farm animals but if we stopped at Mirador Puerto de Ojén (Ojén Go perspective) we discovered a donkey, a number of sheep and a chestnut horse.
It used to be scorching. Many of the animals huddled within the coloration solid by means of the Herbal Park signal. Those that couldn’t have compatibility their our bodies into that crowded spot hung their heads in it. However the chestnut horse stoically stood within the solar. One sheep lay underneath it.
As we walked round scanning the sky for birds, the sign-shade sheep walked over to the pony and attempted to suit into its shadow. There used to be handiest sufficient coloration for his or her heads.
The Coloration Horse walked away and the additional sheep have been out of good fortune. The significant other sheep moved with the pony, repeatedly in his shadow. “We’re going to devour?” requested the sheep. “Effective. There’s one thing right here on your shadow.”
Did the pony really feel used? Or did he respect his pal? No matter works to stick cool.
p.s. The donkey used to be very pleasant, extra occupied with us than the coloration.
