  • 3 medium potatoes (16oz, 450gr), peeled, lower into chunks
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled, left complete
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 1/3 cup crème fraîche (or extra)
  • 1 cup Cantal or White Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • Put potatoes and garlic in a saucepan.
  • Duvet with water, upload a little bit of salt, and convey to a boil.
  • Partly duvet and cook dinner till potatoes are very smooth.
  • Drain.  Discard garlic.
  • Mash potatoes with butter.
  • Upload crème fraîche and whip with a cord whisk.
  • Slowly upload cheese, whisking till cheese is melted and well-combined.
  • Spoon onto scorching plates and serve.

Notes

The potatoes must shape thick ribbons from the whisk.  If the Aligot will get too thick, upload a little bit extra crème fraîche.
