France sees lower in pig slaughter – Swine information


In December, the collection of pigs slaughtered fell sharply year-on-year (-7.8%), last beneath the common slaughterings for the 2018-2022 length (-6.5%). At 94.2 kg/carcass on reasonable, the load of slaughter pigs is solid year-on-year (+ 0.1%).


For 2023, slaughterings are down through 4.8% year-on-year, and through 6.2% when compared with the five-year reasonable, reflecting the decline in pig numbers on farms.
