□ 3 lbs jalapeños
□ 2 cups apple cider vinegar
□ 5 cups honey
□ 1 tsp celery seed
□ ½ tsp ginger
□ 1 tsp turmeric
□ 1 tsp cayenne pepper
□ 2 Tbsp garlic powder
Instructions
Step 1
Convey your canner to a boil and feature jars and lids able to head.
Step 2
Dressed in gloves, lower stems off jalapeños and slice into ¼” rounds.
Step 3
Put the entire slices in a big jar, fill ⅓ complete with water, put the lid on, and shake madly. Many seeds will dislodge.
Step 4
Drain after which do it a couple of extra occasions, till many of the seeds were shaken out. If there’s too many slices (or your jar isn’t large enough), do it in a couple of batches.
Step 5
Make your brine, convey to a troublesome boil, then simmer for 5 mins. Upload the jalapeño slices, convey again as much as a troublesome boil, flip the part to medium low once more and simmer for precisely 4 mins.
Step 6
The use of a slotted spoon, temporarily fill your jars then pour the recent syrup over most sensible, wipe the edges blank, upload a lid and ring, and alter to fingertip tightness.
Step 7
Procedure 10 mins for 250 ml jars and quarter-hour for 500 ml jars.
Tip
There shall be leftover syrup. Don’t throw it out, it’s spectacularly scrumptious. I all the time pour the remainder syrup into little jars and will it as smartly. It’s nice in a cocktail, as a marinade, in cornbread, in salad dressing, used to glaze bbq meat, and so forth.
