Japan will import 1500 tonnes of feed-quality wheat for cattle use by means of a simultaneous purchase and promote (SBS) public sale that closed past due on Wednesday, Reuters reported, bringing up the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).
The ministry had sought 65,000 metric heaps of feed wheat and 25,000 heaps of feed barley to be loaded by way of September 30 and arrive in Japan by way of November 28.
Japan buys and sells its feed wheat and barley by means of so-called SBS auctions, by which end-users and importers specify the starting place, worth and amount of grain, permitting millers to satisfy their numerous wishes for the feed grain.
