Those lamb shank parcels are ideal for a Christmas dinner. They aren’t best scrumptious however they appear the phase too, says Lorraine Steyl.

Serves 4
- 2 medium lamb shanks
- 400g roll of store-bought puff pastry
For the sauce:
- 2 cups rooster inventory
- 1 Tbsp contemporary rosemary, chopped
- 1 Tbsp contemporary thyme, chopped
- 1 Tbsp contemporary mint, chopped
- ½ cup contemporary basil, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ¼ cup crimson wine vinegar
- 5 cloves
- 3 cloves of beaten garlic
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ cup gentle soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to style
- In a sluggish cooker, position the lamb shanks and canopy with all of the elements for the sauce. Prepare dinner on top for 4 to 5 hours or till the beef is comfortable.
- Take away the beef from the sauce and make allowance to chill. Put aside the sauce to make use of later.
- Reduce the puff pastry in two. Wrap every lamb shank within the pastry.
- Bake within the oven at 220°C for 30 to 40 mins till the pastry is golden brown.
- Warmth the sauce ahead of serving. Serve the lamb shanks with mashed potatoes and your collection of different greens with the sauce.
