Final week once I wrote that Charles Bier had observed two peregrines at Pittsburgh’s East Liberty Presbyterian Church in January, Adam Knoerver answered that he has too.

Final week, out of my place of work window (which seems on the church from Friendship), I may certainly see a raptor top up and stooping to dive bomb some small birds and puzzled if it could be a peregrine. I’ll stay a watch out and notice if anything is brewing.

Later that day Adam checked onsite and right away discovered each peregrines.

Showed peregrines on the church simply now strolling previous. One darted off the ledge and flew over me and rejoined the opposite that was once possibly consuming (small feathers began to crumple).

He despatched pictures of the church steeple with circles indicating the peregrines’ places. Their favourite spot is at the back of the “railing” at the west-northwest aspect, a most probably selection for a nest location.

These days I used to be in a position to identify what looked to be the feminine (better of the 2, so…) perched atop the Walnut on Highland condo throughout from the church. The chook has an overly distinct and outstanding peach-y colour on the most sensible of the breast, and the opposite chook (possibly the male) flew off the tower, rotated round, and located any other perch top atop the pass.
