13 January 2024

This week featured impressive solar results and top water.

On 11 January I captured this photograph of a solar pillar at daybreak whilst Dave DiCello were given a good higher shot from the West Finish Bridge.

Friday’s daybreak used to be impressive differently.

Tuesday 9 January produced the vintage Gleam at Sundown by which an afternoon of thick cloud duvet ended with an opening at the western horizon and half-hour of solar. Right here’s what the space gave the impression of simply after sundown from the roof deck of my development.

Twenty mins previous I had seen the gleam from under when it lit the tops of timber and constructions … like this.

In the meantime we’re handiest 13 days into January and feature already had 2.24 inches of precipitation — 1.06 inches above customary for the month. All that water results in the rivers so it’s no surprise that the Monongahela River used to be operating top at Duck Hole on 11 January.

It used to be raining after I aroused from sleep this morning.
