19 Friday 2024
Final Friday we watched a Eurasian nuthatch (Sitta europaea) vigorously take away a ornament from his superbly furnished nestbox in South Wales. It appears the Tenant Didn’t Just like the Decorations (blue field).
Since then the pair has been reworking the condo to their liking. They’ve added various leaves and are actually making use of plaster (dust!) to the inner. Are they masking the decorations they don’t like? Or simply filling within the gaps?
The nuthatches now have their very own Are living Circulate at Gwyllt Hole – Sitting Room Nuthatches. Practice WildlifeKate @katemacrae on X for updates.
