Freshwater mussels are the unsung heroes of our waterways. They maintain the water blank for fish and the aquatic bugs they feed on and, as a result of they clear out water via their our bodies, they’re the primary to die when the water turns into polluted.
Glance how briskly they blank the water!
If a freshwater movement doesn’t have mussels it’s exhausting for local fish to live on. That’s why the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Fee transformed the fish hatchery at Union Town right into a mussel propagation heart and are restocking mussels in our creeks.
