Orillia, ON (Dec. 27, 2023) – After months of building, the newly renovated Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre is now open to the general public for adoptions and rehoming requests. The upgrades to the animal centre will lend a hand the Ontario SPCA support and develop its animal welfare and neighborhood improve services and products presented in Orillia.
The animal centre has been briefly closed to the general public since September whilst it underwent renovations to raised meet the wishes of the neighborhood. All the way through that point, animals looking forward to adoption had been relocated to foster houses and Ontario SPCA animal centres in neighbouring communities. Stray animals dropped at the animal centre had been housed in a short lived facility prior to being transferred to neighbouring Ontario SPCA animal centres.
The brand new upgrades to the animal centre, positioned at 467 West St. N in Orillia, come with:
- New floor during the Centre
- New cat rooms
- New sunrooms for the cats
- Up to date canine rooms, together with new doorways
- Up to date laundry room and washrooms
- Up to date animal isolation rooms and consumption rooms
- A recent coat of paint during the centre
“We’re so excited to welcome the general public into our newly renovated centre, which used to be designed with the well being and luxury of our animal pals in thoughts,” says Carol Beard, Supervisor, Ontario SPCA Orillia Animal Centre. “As the wishes of the neighborhood develop, we wish to be able to improve the animals and the individuals who love them.
