Defra proclaims new AHDB Beef Sector Council chair


Defra has introduced that Glen Nimmo has been appointed as the brand new chair of the AHDB Beef Sector Council. 

Mr Nimmo, who isn’t widely recognized within the business, has in the past labored in a family-run multi-site built-in beef processing industry, protecting slaughter, primal processing and retail packing.

His LinkedIn profile describes him as an ‘skilled fund supervisor and industry chief’, with 25 years as a UK fairness analyst and fund supervisor within the Better Edinburgh house.

Changing Mike Sheldon, who stood down from the position on the finish of March, Mr Nimmo will serve from 3 years from April 10.

He’s considered one of two new appointments to the principle AHDB Board, along Graeme Jack, who brings greater than 30 years of enjoy within the agri-food sector, together with as communications director for Müller UK & Eire.
